It is a tropical tree species native to tropical Asia and China, that produces edible fruit with a  black seed within the shelled fruit creates the appearance of an eyeball. The tree may grow to over 30 m and produces light-yellow inflorescence at the end of branches. 

Medicinal properties

This plant is used as medication for treating different diseases like gastrointestinal disorders, wounds, fever, snake bites, chickenpox, bone fractures, neurological disorders, and reproductive health.
