A midcanopy tree native to the Greater Antilles, southern Mexico, and Central America. Allspice is the dried fruit of the Pimenta dioica plant and is considered as a spice that combined the flavours of cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove. 

Medicinal properties

Used to relieve respiratory congestion and toothache and even to treat dyspepsia and diabetes. Allspice along with other herbal mixtures is used to relieve indigestion. Allspice essential oil is added to massage oils and baths to promote circulation in order to relieve pain from muscle cramps and strains. Also, it is used for headache, to combat stress and depression and overcome fatigue with its comforting scent.
